The Theme of the 2026 President’s Challenge is “Your Favorite Color”
Guild President Nancy Landon’s favorite color is green. But, the 2026 challenge instead centers around your favorite color. Of course, Nancy also wants your creations to at least acknowledge hers as well. I’m sure you will do what you always do and come up with something wonderful and creative!
Rules
- You must be a member of the Tucson Quilters Guild.
- You may ONLY use your favorite color fabrics, from light/really light, through all the mediums & into the darks.
- Remember, ONLY your favorite color.
- There must also be one piece of green included as that is my favorite color. It must be on the front and must be visible.
- Any technique is allowed. You may piece, applique, embroider, and embellish but it must have 3 layers and be quilted and bound.
- The quilt must have a hanging sleeve and a label containing the quilt maker’s name and title of the quilt. Quilts must also be contained in a cloth bag (pillowcase) to protect them from dirt or damage.
- The quilt should measure no more than 100 inches around the perimeter. Any rectangular shape of that dimension is acceptable. If your quilt is not rectangular, make sure it will fit in a rectangle that is not more than 100″ around the perimeter.
- Turn in your entry form and quilt by the December Guild Meeting to Nancy Landon, 2026 President of the Tucson Quilters Guild.
