Hot August days and nights were made for staying inside and sewing so let’s get together and do just that! This first-ever guild retreat will be held at our usual venue, St. Frances Cabrini church. We will provide tables and all the necessary power cords for sewing machines, plus tables on risers for cutting and basting, irons and ironing boards, and – even better – lots of helping hands. This is your chance to start a new project, make headway on a current project, or finally finish one.
As an added attraction, some of our guild’s talented members will be doing demos throughout the day. See how Joyce Harrison makes perfect corners on her bindings, how Patsy Heacox does faux embroidered lettering, and how Helen Frost cuts perfectly straight strips, plus lots more!
Unlike the Quilt-a-Thon, this is your chance to work on your own quilts. However, if you’re not currently working on a project, we will have pillowcase kits and stocking kits from Quilting for Others for finishing.
Bring a lunch plus treats to share, if desired. Water and snacks will be provided.
