Tami Graeber is a longtime member of the Tucson Quilters Guild. She was a past Featured Quilter at Quilt Fiesta and a 3 time Best of Show winner. Her quilts have been featured on the cover of calendars, national show catalogs and published in many quilting magazines. She is best known for her original surface designs and her fabric painting technique of Mexican tiles has been published. Tami refers to herself as a competitive quilter and for the last 10 years has won many awards in national shows across the US and international shows as well.
But before that, Tami was a competitive athlete and started quilting when she needed a hobby to fill the weeks of healing from sports injuries. She says that now quilting is the only competitive sport she can still do all day long and then still get out of bed in the morning!
Tami’s trunk show is titled “Quilting for Show, The Art of Camouflage!” During her talk, she will be presenting 15 of her most representational works. If you have been a long time guild member you may remember some of them from our own Quilt Fiesta but some may be new to you but all are worth revisiting in any case.
