SQS is the Tucson Quilters Guild’s Small Quilt Sale. QS accepts donated Lamentables which are orphan blocks, UFO’s (unfinished objects), Vintage Blocks, etc.… and our Guild members create the most amazing Lovelies from the donations! Many art quilters donate their monthly challenges. Sometimes even vintage quilts are donated. We receive a wide variety of donations – the generosity of our members is unmatched. Most of our Lovelies are kept 120” in perimeter or smaller, but sometimes we receive quilts closer to lap or crib size, and we will accept those, too. Many lovelies are created to be wall-hangings, but some are table runners, placemats, and other small quilts that can be hung with pins on the black curtains at the Fiesta Quilt show in February.
Each year, the Guild Members recommend worthy local charities, and members of the Fiesta Quilt Show Committee choose one, or two, charities to receive the funds raised through the TQG SQS.
Donations of Lamentables are always accepted, and donations of completed SQS Quilts for the 2027 Fiesta Quilt Show SQS (~ 120” in perimeter or smaller) are accepted right up until the end of Jan 2027!
