Monthly Meetings

Where: The Tucson Quilters Guild is located in Tucson, Arizona. Our meetings are held at St. Francis Cabrini Church, 3201 East Presidio, Tucson, Arizona. The church is located one block south of Ft. Lowell and one block east of Country Club.

When: We meet on the second Wednesday of the month at 9:30 a.m. I recommend that quilters get to the meeting by 9:00 a.m. for a seat. We also meet the Tuesday night before the Wednesday meeting at the same place. This will make it easier for members to attend our meetings. They will have the same speaker and events. Start time for the evening meeting is 7:00 p.m. Workshops are from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Who: The public is welcome to join our guild, dues are $25 a year, from March to February. All that is needed is an interest in quilting or quilts in general. Members must join by the October meeting in order to be able to hang a quilt in our show which is held each January and members must work at least one shift at the quilt show. Guests pay $3 for each meeting before becoming a member.

Workshop registration is available at the Guild Business Meeting (first Wednesday of the month) several months prior to the workshop and also at the Guild General Meetings (second Wednesday morning of the month and the Tuesday night before the Wednesday meeting). Payment in full is due at the time of the sign-up. Workshops run from 9:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. unless otherwise noted.

The Guild Business Meeting is held the first Wednesday of every month at 9:30am in the classroom building of St. Francis Cabrini Church, 3201 E. Presidio. Here is the agenda for the March 5, 2008 business meeting.

Guild Newsletters

This username and password box will be the guild's way to access the newsletters and other member-only information for Guild members only. Unfortunately, ads may popup and the only way to get rid of them is for the guild to pay for the service. Just be careful and don't click on the ad except to close it. The username and password are available from Kathy Harris. She now sends out an email with the username and password to get the newsletter here. The newsletter is also available the old way, via the US Mail. Viewing it here on the website will not use any email space. We hope to add other private information for Guild members.

July  2008 online.
The password was just changed to the new one. It's on the back of the new membership cards.

Email Kathy with your whole name and, if possible, member number, to get the current password.

If you cannot see the login box right above this, your computer security settings may be too high. You will have to find out how to lower the settings so that the login box will show. You may also have to refresh your screen to see the newest newsletter after you login.

Reaching Out To The Community
In a single year, the Tucson Quilters Guild outreach programs have donated 461 quilts, taught 90 young people to quilt, donated 82 dressed teddy bears, and donated 1,260 placemats.  Click on the image above to watch a 6 minute steaming video account of the Guild’s activities. Note: When I ran the video, it gave me an error after about four minutes. I'm working on it, don't know if it's my computer or the video. Let me know if
